Tamralipto Government Medical College & Hospital (TGMCH), located in Tamluk, Purba Medinipur, is one of the newest government medical colleges in West Bengal. Established in 2022 under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (Phase II), it is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Built on 25+ acres of land, the campus includes a 7-storey academic block, 500-bedded hospital (district hospital upgraded), separate hostels for boys and girls, nursing accommodation, and modern OPD complex. TGMCH admits 100 MBBS students annually through NEET-UG counseling (AIQ & State Quota). The hospital caters to 50+ lakh population of Purba Medinipur, Howrah, Paschim Medinipur, and nearby districts.
