Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College & Hospital (NRSMC&H), Kolkata, popularly known as NRS Medical College, is one of the oldest and most prestigious government medical colleges in West Bengal. Established on 1st December 1873 as Sealdah Medical School, it has a rich legacy of producing eminent doctors, researchers, and social reformers, including Sir Nilratan Sircar, after whom the college was renamed in 1948.
Today, the college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
