Nalbari Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), Assam, is a newly established government medical college located in Dakhingaon, Nalbari district. Strategically situated just 11 km from the Nalbari district headquarters, 6.5 km from the national highway, and 65 km from Guwahati, the institution is easily accessible and well connected by road and rail.
The college was inaugurated on 14 April 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with AIIMS Guwahati and two other new medical colleges in Assam.
NMCH operates under the State Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Assam, is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), and is affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Guwahati. With an annual intake of 100 MBBS students, the college is dedicated to providing quality healthcare education and services for the people of Assam and the northeastern region.
