Coochbehar Government Medical College & Hospital, officially known as Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College & Hospital (MJNMCH), Cooch Behar, is a full-fledged government medical institution in North Bengal. Established in 2018 with the upgradation of the historic MJN Hospital, it was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt. Mamata Banerjee, on 22nd February 2019, which is now celebrated as the Foundation Day.
The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It offers 100 MBBS seats annually, along with paramedical diploma courses and GNM Nursing. From 2021–22, the institute also started DNB postgraduate programs.
